it seems that lately i'm always tired. that's not to say that im not always awake as well, which i am, and which is a big part of the problem. but im asking you , what do you guys usually do to stay awake? how many of you, like myself, are insomniacs, and how do you deal with that throughout the day? right on.<br /><br />-b

<lj:music>^MCR^-you know what they do to guys like us in prison</lj:music>

So i went to see my chemical romance today perform a 6 song set at Vintage Vinyl in woodbridge(fords), NJ. fuckin amazing. first off, i haven't been to vintage vinyl in so long, but they have new vinyls of bad religion, H.I.M., metallica, everyone, they actually SELL a LOT of vinyl. fuckin amazing, i shall definetley be going back there soon. anyway i was in a shitty mood because of talking to a certain someone the night previous, so this show was a uplifting thing of nice proportions. the admission was buying their new cd three cheers for sweet revenge. i was going to buy that today along with a number of other CD's, so i was psyched. they played a great mini show and then stuck around to sign stuff for people. if you havent checked them out already , check them out now. they were a small nj band, and now they're signed to warner bro.'s, and going on a kick ass tour. they're also brand new to livejournal TODAY, their sn is mcrjournal, you can find them in my friends section. if you like alkaline trio or like goth-ish type punk, they're your band. excellent musicians. anyway. take care!<br /><br />-b

    <lj:music>aphex twin - we have arrived</lj:music>

so hey all. it's 11:54 a.m. on a monday. sometimes i think mondays are the worst day of the week , but on a day like today when the sun is shining, and good music is flowing, how can you complain? i mean i'm always complaining but thats besides the fact. anyhoot, in relation to the subject topic. i've been listening to a lot of aphex twin lately, as you can probably tell by now i listen to everything. anyway, what's your take on techno/industrial type music? and i'm talking metal-industrial like NIN, to more synth oriented stuff like Aphex Twin , etc. a lot of people say it's mindless, but that is ridiculous, because they dont realize how much work goes into sound selection, and programming modules and songs. personally i play everything like metal, punk, salsa, whatever, as long as its good, its good. i was talking to courtney the other day, and she's totally getting this country CD. the thing is totally to seek out the good in each genre and be multi-musical. word. enough of me rambling. <lj:music>Jenoah - openly</lj:music>

so. it's 12 o clock on a sunday night. GOOD things that got done: the song i was writing about before is totally on its way. its different from what our band usually plays, but i think we totally needed that. its way more upbeat than usual. thats probably from the influx of Drive Thru records bands i've been listening to lately, such as allister, jenoah, homegrown, etc. strange. i guess im just in an emotional mood. heh. anyway. bad stuff that didn't happen: i didnt get to go to the blink / living end / no doubt concert tonight. eh, ive seen all the bands before. i suppose i'll see 'em all on seperate tours in the future. overall though, i've been in a super creative and GOOD mood. i watched the season finale of the sopranos tonight. that was cool. if you have HBO on demand go check it out. i can't wait for next season already. this season was awesome. i've been taking pictures with my new digital camera. it's an olympus, i'm pretty psyched about that, and im just getting excited that my band is going on tour in less than 24? days now. excited and nervous. anyhoot, thanks for listenin'. later<br /><br />-b

    <lj:music>morrissey - you know i couldn't last</lj:music>

So. wow. i suppose i went to bed at like 8 a.m. or 9 a.m. yesterday or today for that matter, and i just woke up at 8:30. you ever have a day that u thought u lost? even though im going to be staying up now till like a million o'clock. i totally missed a friends show that i was going to go to, and like who knows what else. ah! whatever. so anyway. my band is going to work on a song im writing tomorrow. i'm pretty excited. i guess with me missing out on everything today, it gives me a chance now and into the morning to keep on writing even more, kinda works out. the band fakeknife is a punk band, but the influences for this new song come from 3 and 3 sources only that i can at least say i can pinpoint. morrissey, my chemical romance , and a girl in california who's vacationing in missouri right now, who i talked to last night. oh well. hopefully soon i'll post a link of a recording (demo version of course) of it somewhere. in the meantime go to www.fakeknife.com if you want to hear anything else. (= i'll post later. cya<br /><br />-b
